More bad news at our Governor Dick map.  Their BOD has decided to log another 80 acres of the park over the next year.

    Clear cut or selective?

Probably not totally clear, but if you've seen the fenced in logged areas after their last cutting I expect more of the same with trees every hundred feet or so with briars over the rest of the land. I don't have any clear data on what parts are being cut but one plot is at the East end of the map near old Rt 72 and the other is said to be by pinch road on the west side.

Are briars considered "vital to the health of the forest"?
