I'm planning on getting another issue of the Briar Patch out before the winter meeting. In order to make that happen, I need your help... in the form of articles, anecdotes, training tips--anything you think might be of interest to your fellow DVOAers.

I would appreciate receiving your submissions by Dec. 15. If you would like to submit something but can't make that deadline, please let me know; the deadline can be a bit flexible, but I need to know what might be in the works so that I can make room for it.

You can email me: njsharp at aol dot com.

Also I would like to remind next year in January we'll have elections for some club officers positions. Please refer to the front page posting for more information:

Please submit your nomination. It would be nice to have list of candidates for open position posted in the Briar Patch prior to elections.

How do I get a Briar Patch newsletter? Not sure how often they go out, but I've been a member since spring and haven't recieved any yet.

Nancy, I will write an article describing my first year in orienteering.  I'll make sure you get it by the 15th.

    Thanks, Mike

It would be great to have a reflective article on the many contributions of the Ringos to the club.  They slipped away to Florida without many of us being able to say goodby.

Agree we should put together a chapter in the DVOA History devoted to the Ringos..  BTW they only went half way to Florida.  They are in New Bern NC.
