Thank you to Steve and Sharon and Petr for a fun and challenging event.  The terrain was tough toward the end of brown.  I think Route Gadget is going to be interesting.  You did a great job and thanks for the porta-potty and setting us up with the weather gods.

And a big thanks to Petr - the course setter - and especially the folks who stuck around and helped with control pickup.

Just put my route in RouteGadget and finally got to appreciate the course under less trying conditions.  Really great design which used all my limited navigation skills, from reading subtle contours to paying attention to vegetation boundaries.  Lots of route choice as well, so I'm sure RG will be very interesting.  If only there weren't so many downed trees...

Yes Brown was a physical challenge for me.  On Saturday Judy and I did a longish hike that I knew I'd pay for at Star Village the next day.  My legs were feeling wobbly by control 5 and my brain cut out for a few minutes between 6 & 7.  I really appreciated having the finish at the bottom of the hill. I rested at least three times sgetting back up to download.  Had the pub near the finish been open I might have stayed there and called for a cab.

Anyone else having trouble getting route gadget to work?  I get a "map not found" message in Firefox and Safari. Splitizer is working for me.

Addendum: Just checked... Quail Hill, Evansburg, and Hibernia all open with my MAC so there must be a problem that is unique to the Star Village file.

Copy That on the course setting. Great job on the green couse. Lots of choices. Sure would like to see more people using route gadget. I've already seen major differences in choice with only two of us entering our green course routes.
Any ideas out there on how to get more people interested in Route Gadget. Anybody want help with discovering how easy it is to use ? Should the club think about setting up a computer at the following event to show people the courses from the previous event on RG ?  Would this spark interest, or is it just a time issue ?
Thanks again to Steve, Sharon, Petr and each and every helper for the hard hat tour of a lumbering operation.

Steve and Petr, you will be paid a nice premium for all the logs you hall to my sawmill before the next event held on this map.

Ed, enetered my course then when going back to map page got same message as you. Tried a couple times then exited DVOA site and came back in then it all worked fine again. Hope you get it working soon, always enjoy your routes.

I would like to thanks everyone who was involved in organizing this event.  It was not an easy one. The courses were challenging especially with added deadfall which made them even more harder, physically and mentally.

I like RG, and try to use it often, but if I don't do it right away, I forget.

Thank you for all of the nice things said. As many of you know, this is a major undertaking, but it is all worth while when everyone shows their appreciation. That said, I must also show my appreciation to those that helped. First up would be Petr, who started planning way back in March. Not only did he set courses, but he acted as a prompt to make sure all of the other work was done right. Next would be Fred Kruesi for map printing. Fred Reed and Sandy Fillebrown took care of the computer, including re-setting the master to EST and loading the courses beforehand, and posting the results afterwards. Sharon worked registration while I watched start and did some instruction. Finally would be pick-up, done by Bob Gross, Petr, Sharon , myself, and especially Tom Overbaugh, who probably did not get home until after eight.

I have reviewed the results and done the calculations for the Dual event.

Could somebody please put the Dual Competition results in a separate page, so I can link to it?  (and it can potentially be linked from DVOA's SV results page)
