Reply by Vadim on Thu Mar 10, 2011 at 1:21 pmIf you have no plans to participate in the West Point A-meet scheduled for the same weekend, please step forward and take CS/ED positions for the Camp Delmont. It's one of the newer relatevely small maps at 1:5,000 scale and we had only two (second was a repeat) events there so far, so, you should have plenty of opportunities to design your courses.
If no one steps forward, Camp Delmont will be eliminated from the schedule and there will be no orieteering that weekend for the club members.
If you think someone elese will do it, think one more time and show your support. -
Reply by edscott on Thu Mar 10, 2011 at 4:55 pmAdded note: We got permission for this one today so it is important that we come through with an event. As Vadim has said above we have a short history there, so course setting possibilities are wide open. There is one small area where some Scout Training might be going on that needs to be avoided, but it should pose no problem for the course setter. If you've never set courses before, this map will be a great training ground. We will provide a course consultant for anyone that wants to learn.

Is it possible to move it back? I'd course set if I could do it when freshman year is over.

Reply by edscott on Fri Mar 11, 2011 at 11:16 amWhen we are this far into the scheduling process changing dates is not really a good option. French Creek East and Mt Penn Pagoda are summer events awaiting a course setter.
