Hi All,

Our Orienteering season had a good start at Fair Hill this past weekend and we are looking forward into another great season.

I'm still looking for few more volunteers to help at Colliers Mills this weekend, especially with E-punch and controls pickup. Please use volunteers sign up page next to event on the schedule page.

Don't miss rare opportunity to run almost flat courses with soft ground.

We warmly invite all of you to come to Colliers Mills on Sunday.  The weather seems inviting -- 50's and sunny --  and we would love you to join us.  Not only do we have a full menu of courses that will challenge your orienteering skills while avoiding boulder fields, brambles, and all that nasty climb , we also have some unique opportunities to promote orienteering.

We have JROTC unit of 20 cadets (fresh from their very successful participation in a national JROTC event in Georgia a few weeks ago) as well as a Scout Troop of 25 scouts.  Plus I've contacted several other groups, e.g. a Fort Dix population only a few minutes away.

We also have a Registration and Finish area that is picturesque, leading into an extremely spectator-friendly Finish chute right next to Registration.  So it should be a great day to talk with a bunch of prospective juniors, cheer in all our friends at Finish, and jumpstart our 2011 season.

So....A COUPLE OF REQUESTS:

1.  We need extra people available to present orienteering Intro's to beginners, and to help with the extra logistics if 45-70 non-DVOA members show up, as well as to generally welcome everyone to the event.

2.  And a Special Request -- If anyone who is planning to attend Colliers Mills has a DVOA BANNER (which is missing from our NJ kit) please bring it along with you.  Earlier than later would be better, but whenever you arrive would be fine.  Contact me at bobburg@verizon.net if you can help with any of these.
