DVOA hosting the Billygoat at the Water Gap

Topic created by Sandy on Mon Jan 12, 2015 at 10:19 pmDVOA is hosting the 2015 Billygoat on the Egypt Mills map, the map used for the long courses at NAOC 2012. It's not for a while yet - April 19 - and we don't have any information up beyond the date and location, but if you know you are coming and would like to stay at PEEC (the Pocono Environmental Education Center) you probably need to take care of it before the end of January.
They already have several school and scout groups booked for that weekend but there are still cabins available. The cost is $100 per night per cabin for up to 3 people, $25 for each additional person. The cabins will most likely be ones with 3 bunks, so can sleep up to 6.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve space. I haven't inquired about any sort of meal plan, but it's possible that could be arranged.
We are discussing what sort of orienteering opportunities we are willing to organize for Saturday, but haven't made any definite plans yet. A sprint or sprint relay on the PEEC campus is a possibility if enough people are staying there to make it worthwhile; doing your own training on the other Water Gap maps can easily be arranged. HVO is also thinking about hosting an event on Saturday at one of their parks about an hour from the Water Gap. That's all being worked out but cabin reservations need to happen soon if you want one.
