Today the DVOA Scouters of three Councils (Hawk Mountain,Minsi Trails, and Baltimore),  decended on Musser Scout reservation and led an event that was challenging and fun for all.  Len Policelli set a great group of courses including a fast Sprint Course in the Green (well, somewhat green) hills of Camp DelMont.  His contacts in Scouting allowed us to use an indoor lodge for registration which allowed for a relaxed and warm atmosphere before and after the run.  As with any event there were a cast of characters which made this event the success that is was.  Patty and Max Policelli joined us and filled in at virtually every position there was.  Patty handled e-punch setup and pitched in on pretty much everything else through clean-up. Max helped with set-up and control pick-up and even helped to proof the Sprint Course.  Thanks to Dave Morgan who held down Registration in the morning and to Dave Urban who took over on the late shift.  Kathy Urban took on the Computer for closeout, allowing Patty to get out on the course and provided the archive for results.  Ed Scott volunteered to teach beginners and was able to help some Scouts before their run.  Ed stuck around until closing an lent a hand wherever needed. Bob Agosta came for set-up and stayed to help pick-up as well. As our day came to a close, Bob, Ed, Petr Hartman, Diane Reider, Max, and Dave Urban made quick work of collecting and inventorying controls.  Thanks again to a great team that made this a truly memorable event.  See everyone at the next meet!!

I'd like to add to the Thank-You list and acknowledge some key people who helped this happed behind the scenes. This being my first experience at course setting and being short on time, I needed all the help I could get.

Ed Scott for overall general guidance, Mary Frank for dealing with my questions on use and permission of the camp and delivering the printed maps, Erik Eddy for guiding me through course setting and reviewing the courses, Tom Overbaugh for his review for the (nearly) final courses, Fred Kruesi for massaging my altered map and printing in a short time schedule, Ron Bortz for his oversight on the kits and help with e-punch questions, and to John Gellette for stepping in as event director (not so behind-the scenes) just in time to deal with the demands of the event-day details.

Thank you all for helping to make this happen.
