If you have never used Route Gadget, try it out here on the Delmont Courses. You can play around with it even if you did not run there)

Some Route Gadget advantages are:
- Lets you view all the courses of the event.
- Allows you to enter your own route for your course by tracing it from memory or downloading from a GPS unit. This only takes about 5 minutes.
- Lets you view other orienteer's routes (if they entered them) to see where they went and how it compares to yours.
- Lets you view animation of the race of any number of selected routes.
I like downloading a GPS route because when I get lost on a course, there is no way I know where I was some times. With the GPS, once it’s downloaded, I can go back and see how something pulled me off course or I missed a mark…etc.
I find it interesting to see other's route choice and it helps me learn about looking for other ways to the control. As a first time course setter, viewing the already posted routes for Delmont has helped me evaluate my design to see how I did.
So go ahead, give it a try. Add your route. I will definitely look at it on the Delmont map to help my future courses.
