Thanks to Len and Patty Pollicelli, John Gillette, and all the people who volunteered to run the local event at Camp Delmont today. Len's courses made good use of the mapped features. This was a great time of year to utilize Delmont, as a lot of vegetation died back.

Even the dead vegetation reminded me of how nasty the vegetation at Delmont can be! (withered Stilt Grass over fallen logs).  Delmont is a great map - looks deceptively simple, actually quite challenging.  Easy to make parallel errors in the rocks and with the paths.  The fallen trees force you to zig-zag, so following a bearing is tough.  The map scale is 1:5,000 pacing errors are common too.
