Wasn't there an event coming up at Batsto? I am almost positive I remember it being on the schedule not too long ago... I was very much looking forward to it.

It was the 28th and now says cancelled.

It's not Batsto, but SVO has an event at Rocky Ridge (York) that day. We'd love to see some of our neighbors from the East Laughing

There was supposed to be a meeting yesterday... I've heard nothing yet about the outcome.

Hi, I talked to Dan Barker at Quail Hill last saturday (where I had expected to give him the DVOA NJ O flag and admin kit/supplies) and the Rangers/managers at Basto were not even "close" to understanding and approving a DVOA Special Use permit for orienteering.  I surmise the rangers or managers are relatively new and do not understand we are a relatively low impact on the forest sport/run/hike; and Dan stated he had a low confidence to get the park permit in time and hence canceled early to prevent club members and joe public to dive there to find us "Permit not approved".   Hey, I had as previously stated diff e board post, this spring a ... "use permit" application in North NJ state park for HVO was disapproved to me to "prevent" fatal poison snake bites (there's snakes 'off' the trail, everwhere!... "I" can only approve the park's O event if All you 'club runners' stay ON trail ..."):  Now I get to tell that NJ ranger there - that Obama Care should  pay for the counter serum and maybe I can get a Gov stimulus fund project for rehabilitation and relocation of the wild snake population in North NJ, I think a Mr Chalie Rangle (D-NY) will help it thru the approvals stage, he's real sharp on raising money quickly I hear - more e news later ... Ha ha!
