With the improvement in the current forecast, the Governor Dick event is still on Sunday March 20th!

With the relatively warm temperatures and March sun, the forecast for both the event site and Philadelphia calls for wet rather than snowy roads.  At Governor Dick, the forecast is only for 0-1'' of snow on the grassy surfaces.  The optimist in me hopes it might even be nicer for orienteering than some of those 40 degree rainy days we get in March :)

So come out and celebrate the last day of winter/first day of spring with us!

Controls are out in the woods and we are ready to go for Sunday's event.

Visibility is very good, particularly on the west side of the park where there are fewer boulders.  Just the first few hints of spring starting to bud.  Swamps and areas next to streams have a bit of mud (including a couple of trails where they cross streams), but most of the area has firmed up nicely.

Forecast at the event site is now just a 30% chance of snow with little or no accumulation even off of the pavement.
