Make your escape from the craziness of the city this weekend and Enjoy a beautiful day in the Eastern Pocono Mountains. The woods in Egypt Mills is very navigable ant the temperatures look to be about 70. You can also get your fill of orienteering as we are offering a run on a second course for only $3 additional. Mention this when you register or as you download.

Some additional note about the courses -

The course lengths were calculated from the straight line in Condes. The bad news is that the courses may be a little longer than that. The good news is the ratio of vertical climb to course length will be better.

Some water stops are not at controls for the advanced courses. They are at beginner controls on a right and left route choice of a longer leg. These are shown on the map with the water cup symbol.

We can always use help cleaning up and collecting controls after the event. Please let us know if you can help.

I'll add one bit that may help those using a GPS for finding the parking area for the first time.  I know my unit thinks Big Egypt road goes through to 209.  It doesn't.  Set your unit for the intersection of Big Egypt and Milford Roads, or use N 41.15296 x W 074.95222.

    Yes, Thanks Ed.
If your comming from the south you will be approaching on Rt 209. A little ove a mile into Delaware Water Gap Natnl Rec Area you will get to a traffic light. This is Bushkill Falls Road and you need to make that Left. Then a little over a mile on that you will make a right on Milford Rd.
You should see O signs from 209 on.

Courses are set and waiting for orienteerers. Tomorrow will be a great day in the poconos. The leaves are brgining to fall and the weather should be good.
We are also in need on control pick up help.

Aleksei, We are 90 minutes north of you and I'm not sure at this point who may be comming from that area as the Pope has travel all messed up. Good luck and hop to see you in the woods.
