Question on the Blue course for Fair Hill (I thought would be good for others to see):

How much will the Cecil County Fair impact courses?  Will it block the road such that we can't pass?  Should blue/red runners at a certain time to avoid the fair?  How far into the course does it pass this road?

Is it better to start at 10AM or 1PM?

It is my understanding, after talking with Park Ranger Chris Grieco, that the tractor parade will run from 11am to 1pm and will be a somewhat slow moving affair.  The tractors will start up in the main fair area, move to, and gather in, the Gallagher Road parking/equestrian east area east of Gallagher Road, on the main dirt road that runs from NW to SE across the open field area on the west side of Gallagher Road and north of Big Elk Chapel Road.  The tractors will be 'escorted' by the people involved with each tractor.  People may also be along the side of the road for photo opportunities.  If you are concerned, feel free to run early.  My expectation is that of a minor inconvience rather than a major interruption.

Runners are reminded not to frighten the tractors by waving maps or shouting.

Drove by Fair Hill last week and noticed that the fields had been mown, which should make for fast running this week.

Just a quick note, there is another running organization having an event this weekend in the same area.  They are running on Saturday but there may still be streamers left up after they're done. Seeing all this while doing the streamering for our event.  Looks like a lots of overlap in the areas being used.  Expect to see evidence of others running in the woods.
