Looks like there may be a small problem in Brown & Green results. The time behind for the first place finishers is > 0:00. Thanks to all for the event and posting results so quickly.

Sorry for the delay folks, hard tracking down White and Yellow hand drawn courses!

My first DVOA RG admin work (and it was a challenge!), so let me know if you spot anything odd.***

    *** Brown #8/Green #10/Red #12 are a bit messed up, yes.

Thanks!  Sounds like this one was a bit of extra work.

I like this new "split mode" gps upload, but I noticed my gps cuts off at #12 when in "split mode" (12-F is missing)...can this be easily fixed?

If you happen to do any updates in Condes, the start/finish was mismarked at the event; it was actually the building directly south where my gps track starts.  Not really an issue, but if its an easy fix go for it.

    Thanks again!
    Erik

    Hi Erik:

Looks like you found a 'last control to the finish for GPS' bug in RG ... well spotted! Not sure how easy the fix is. I've contacted Jarkko, the RG developer to give us advice. It looks like it's the new version, as you entered your Batsto on the old (very very old 2006) version, and I entered mine on the second-from-latest version (Feb 2014), and yours is fine and mine is missing the finish leg. I've verified that it's not DVOA's implementation either (on another server), and Mar 2014 version doesn't fix it either. I'll let you know what I discover.

As far as where the S/F is ... I wish I'd known, but I only had the OCAD maps to work with and no Condes, so I actually had to hand-select where each control number was on the map by looking at each of the (separate) OCAD 6 files for each map (Red, Green, Brown, Orange) or hand drawn map (send as images today and yesterday for Yellow and White). That's why the problem with Red #12 as well ... the splits 'tell' you what controls go with what courses, and in this case it was wonky.

So in theory I could figure out the coordinates for S/F in another event, and have our server admin (I don't have access to the raw files) modify the file by hand ... but I think I'm going to let this one go. :)

Looking forward to CONDES + OCAD 9/10/11 + SI CSV = Routegadget :)

    Cheers, Hugh

Really like the new Routegadget interface.  Thanks Hugh and Vadim.  We noticed the same problem as Erik mentioned about go control to finish.

Thanks youse guys! I will try to live up to the high standard set by Doug and the whole DVOA team! Jarkko found the bug (improper reading of semi-colons), and will be fixing it in the next release. In the meantime I'm going to test some manual fixing (and maybe some coding of my own) later today to see if I can set things to rights. Erik: you're tracks just keep getting better! You're just too fast for your own good sometimes. :)

Sooo ... Batsto and Rocky Ridge data modified to work with the new RG (semicolons added). If you want to try it out, but you have already uploaded a GPS file, just let me know and I'll delete your route and then you can try an upload again.

NOTE: when I uploaded my Batsto, I needed to play with the Offset before the route from last control to finish 'showed up'. I think it's because I didn't start my watch till 85 or so seconds into my run, so it needed to have some non-0 Offset before it magically 'appeared'. Makes sense logically when you think about it, because my last split time was less than my Offset, but can be confusing. Offset rules! :)

Again let me know if you notice anything odd. I'm seeing a problem with Chrome browser and my development server, but NOT with the DVOA server. But keep me up to date with difficulties (or feature requests!) and I'll pass them up to Jarkko.

I can't wait to get the NEXT version of RG installed, as the newest Splitsbrowser is a MAJOR upgrade (and also doesn't need Java).

Annnd as an added BONUS (since I was deleting and re-adding Batsto anyway), I uploaded a newer map with all of the nice trail additions that (I assume) the Barker Gang added to the map. Huzzah! Again, let me know if something is wonky, and e-mail me or reply here if you would like me to delete your GPS track in Rocky Ridge -- I think mine was the only one messed up in Batsto -- so you can see your last leg 'properly'. I thought briefly about moving S/F, and then decided I'd already spent way to much time on this! :)
