The Rodnet Scout reservation meet needs volunteers to make this meet run.

Ralph, I'll probably sign up for another spot soon (I can do control pick up as of now).

Question- one position is "Hang Controls".  Normally the course setter (and/or ED) hangs up all the controls on Saturday (and maybe the W/Y controls on trails Sunday morning).  Otherwise, you lose your ability to run the course.

    Is this not the case?

Hi Ralph, couple of things, first, add epunch help to the volunteer sign up on the schedule. Remind folks to sign up! I don't know if it is "by the rules", but I've hung controls for local events if its a course I'm not running. You can also hang controls and run "NC". One hopes the courses have been streamered. I'm working on a list of people who have run the epunch before, but I am not available to round up actual warm bodies for events. Just want to clear that up. This meet should be fun -- Ron Wood is an excellent course setter and Tom Mentrak is an enthusiastic beginner. Hope the weather cooperates. Kathy U

Last reports are that there is still a lot of snow at Rodney.  The next two or three days are predicted to be warm, but we'll have to see if they are warm enough to melt enough snow to allow us to hold the event.  Watch for updates.

...and while we wait to see how much snow melts, come to snowless Batsto this Sunday and see actual ground (remember earth, dirt, grass, blueberry?) beneath your feet.  Even the temperature is cooperating.....

The Rodney meet has been cancelled and moved to October 12.

I moved the Mt Penn Pagoda event that was scheduled for Oct 12 to Oct 5, so we currently show an event at Delmont and one at Mt Penn for that date.  Neither has anyone volunteered for ED or CS, so the first event claimed will stay and the other will be deleted.

How about the 11/9 Mid Atlantics Rodney Meet?  Too bad about March 2nd, but looking forward to the Pinelands this Sunday..

Possibly Delmont or Mt Penn can be moved there, or the Mid Atlantics could be held on Elk Neck. Depends on whether the existing Rodney crew wants to do Mid Atlantic courses. Once the schedule is figured out every change starts a chain reaction.  In this case it could affect SVO and QOC as well, so it needs to be settled quickly.
