Embargoed Areas

Topic created by CNYO-South on Fri Feb 7, 2014 at 6:59 pmThe web page "http://www.dvoa.org/events/aevents/2014/" doesn't detail which areas of White Clay Creek State Park, DE, or White Clay Creek Preserve, PA, are under embargo. Are the trails in the Carpenter Recreation Area, the Judge Morris Estate, and Possum Hill acceptable for bicycling or cross country skiing before this event? What about the trails in the Middle Run Valley Natural Area; Paper Mill Park; William M. Redd, Jr. Park; Coverdale Park; and Newark Reservoir Park?Robert Buraczynski

The entire area covered by the old map is embargoed as well as the area east of the old map from the creek east to Thompson Station Road. This is the "Carpenter Area" of White Clay Creek State Park and the portion of White Clay Creek Preserve bounded by Chambers Rock Rd. on the north and Thompson Station Rd. on the east.
Other areas of White Clay Creek State Park such as the Possum Hill area and Judge Morris Estate are not part of the embargo. Middle Run Natural Area is not part of the embargo.
