Hello all, KEep up the good MASOC Work Ed!  April 14 Quail Hill Scout Orienteering registration forms for Scouts and ROTC units alike is also available on the    <    www.scoutorienteering.com    >   website, and we are accepting "new" registrations from the 150 Scouts (from Nov) that must re-register from the Hur. Sandy (drat those new rootstocks), canceled Nov 2012 DVOA fall event.  DVOA and USOF club members and there non-Scout guests do not have  to register teams or courses (Local walk on for that day).  Tell your Scout groups that this event is parking lot limited, and hence Scout registrations is semi capped at 200 Scouts, that still leaves parking for the DVOA membership.

Quail Hill camp still does have many trees down (no longer is Manalapan, NJ, is now aka Rootstock City, USA), and most camp trails will be completely open on courses to use in April (at 78 % open now level) . That said, I will be cautioning Scouts and ROTC groups that due to the high  penalty if one wanders into a closed yellow tape area, that the only course may be to leave the same way you have entered (course setter notes in April will show the one nasty area that will not be cleared for this O meet [clearing forest branches and tree snags  is an in-process activity every weekend since Dec. )), and all - but White beginner courses from 2012 - will be re-designed to keep advanced hikers and runners out of that route choice (I am  still waiting on trail opening dates mid camp) and the aforementioned bad 'route' stock area.  That said, Cub Scout unit leaders while allowed to participate should contact the DVOA event director (Me) prior to registering a Cub Unit.  Bob Rycharski

Two more of the 7 group sites were reserved today.  T597 of Amity Twp (Boone map area) registered 40 runners and 50 campers.  5 full sites plus one partial site are still open.
