Reply by BRycharski on Fri Nov 16, 2012 at 8:13 pmPLease All advanced runners, please be safe in Silas Condict park on Sunday. I strongly urge all runners to Bring, wear ... and display a loud Whistle
on Sunday, if not, you have §aturday to go buy one. Remember, 3 toøts on the whistle ... in an emergency only. It can't hurt to wear it Δ.
Best to be safe while Orienteering, I normally would not mention it but there are 50?-80- over 100 new roostocks in the park, and more annoyingly, 3-4 random Vertical SNAGS in the woods. I mention it that due to Sandy the Hurricane, these lone tree snags (uncommon) need more time to work there way down to the forest floor. Of The two lone tree snags near the start or on the course, I have sawwed one trail -widowmaker/snag- down, and plan to get the other snag
down tomorrow. Enjoy Bjorn's courses.
Extra points if you see the twin bear Cubs.
