The NAOC2012 TechTeam has established Internet bridges to the remote arenas that allow us to stream live audio/video and to upload live results and radio control splits to the outside world during the entire NAOC event.

In addition, a public Wi-Fi hotspot will be set up in each of the arenas so users with their own Wi-Fi enabled devices can connect to see the live results from wherever they happen to be spectating. Live results, tailored for devices, can be seen here: naoc2012.org/mobile

Users can also update blogs, Attackpoint logs, check e-mail and otherwise interact with their favorite social media outlets in realtime directly from the event!

Since much of the available bandwidth will be required to send out the live video stream (hopefully in HD), the bandwidth on the Wi-Fi hotspot will be limited, but should be adequate for basic surfing. The live video will be shown on screens in the arenas, so we ask that users not bog down the Internet connection with large up/downloads or video streaming to/from their own devices. The Wi-Fi hotspot will nominally be called "ArenaNet" but might have a different name (there should only be one :)

There is also 3G cellular coverage available at the arenas, but service has been a little spotty. Should we have any unforeseen problems with the network your 3G enabled devices might still be useful.

No electrical power will be available for public use in the arenas, so make sure your batteries are fully charged ahead of time. Also be prepared for inclement weather and bring something waterproof to protect your devices (and yourselves) in the event of rain.

Remember, for your friends at home and other interested parties...

The ArenaCam and ForestCam will be visible at:

Comprehensive, detailed lived results visible at:
