Hello, My name is Nikhil Shenoy and I am a Life Scout in West Windsor Troop 40. I'm doing an Eagle Project that requires constructing a permanent orienteering course in one of the Township's Parks and I was wondering if you could help me in any way. My project consists of constructing and installing an informational post to mark the start of the course and provide instructions to a novice, constructing and installing the control points in the park, and creating a map of the course that can be put on the Township website. If you could help me in any way, I would greatly appreciate it. I turn 18 this December, and I need all the help I can get. If you cannot help me, can you refer me to somewhere else where I can get what I need? Thank you, Nikhil Shenoy Life Scout West Windsor Troop 40

I'd add to the thread that if anyone gets involved it needs to be done by using a proper map.  DVOA should not be involved in perpetuating the idea that a pace and compass course in a field is an "Orienteering course"

IIRC, West Windsor "parks" are mostly fields -- playing fields.   Mercer County Park -- which is also in West Windsor -- might be a better site for an instructional permanent course.
