As most of you know, the canoe O will be on French Creek Central on August 21. The format will be the same as the first canoe o about six years ago. There will be four boxes printed on your map at the four corners of the lake. When you are not in one of the boxes, your entire team most be in the boat. When you enter a box, one or more members of the team may leave the team to go and get the flags in that box, and then return to the boat, which the other team mate has moved to a pre-arranged spot. You will have 90 minutes to get as many flags as possible and return to start. There will also be four flags out of the boxes that the team will get together.

Anyone that has there own boat should park at the west end of the lake and paddle over to us from the boat launch. We will be located just east of the main boat rental, which is at the east end of the pool.

If you plan on renting a boat, a two hour rental of a Canoe, one man Kayak, or two man Kayak is $30.00.  The park has 12 canoes, and 12 2-man kayaks. Please send me an e mail with your rental intetions so that I can keep the rental agency informed. Also be sure to mention DVOA to get a special discount.

I just spoke to Sandy, and she has not been able to find a computer guru for the canoe o. This should be a fairly easy event, since the white and yellow will be from 10:00 to 12:00, and the canoe o is a mass start from 1:00 to 2:30. I imagine thge WY will need a lot of rentals, but the canoe o will be before and after, with a chance to join the fun in between. Think about it, and see me or Sandy at FCE or email.

I have decided that the white course is doable from a boat, so I have added a new corse to the morning activites.

Come out early to stretch your legs or practice your paddling! 10:00 to 12:00 we will have White canoe, White land and Yellow land O. 1:00 will be the mass start canoe o. Only two boats have been requested, so there is plenty of room for YOU.
