Nolde Event next Sunday

Why is it that a club the size of our, people can't make a commitment to help at an event once it a while?? It surely makes the job of the Event Director a lot easier and gives them peace of mind to get a good night sleep the night before the event knowing that they have plenty of help. What would you all think if you showed up at Nolde next weekend to find a big sign, event canceled lack of help???? Yeah, yeah we always seem to come up with help the day of the event but it sure would be nice to KNOW the NIGHT before that we have the help needed and that everything will go smoothly and that everyone has a good day.
We are always looking for new Event Directors and courses setter, well why would anyone want to be one of these when we can't get people to sign up to spend an hour or so helping at an event they know they will be going to. I truly don't understand the lack of commitment on the part of our club members, one of the biggest clubs in the USA.
So if you know that you will be coming to Nolde next Sunday, PLEASE volunteer an hour or so to make sure that everyone has a good time in the woods. We especially need people to help with the epunching, Ed would like a break and would like a chance to do course just like the rest of you!
