A huge thank you to all the MASOC helpers.  Every year I go in vowing to compile an accurate list of who helped, and every year the helpers just keep flowing in, and the accuracy of my list goes out the window.  I did have a few last minute twists to work out two days before the event and Dave Prine saved me by hanging a bunch of flags Friday. The start crew, finish crew, and results crew were anchored by the same people that have done these jobs for years. Totally behind the scenes are Fred Kruesi, who has been printing maps on demand every weekend since early April, and Judy Scott who helps bag maps. (perhaps more to regain some floor space in the house than to help me. Wink)

So from memory (I 'll edit this when.. if.. my scrap of paper surfaces over the next couple days) rest of the helper list for Saturday is: Francis Hogle, Sharon Siegler, Steve Aronson, Tim Walsh, Ron Wood, Mitch Zimmer, Bob Meyer, Ed Niemann, Nathan Ohrwaschel, Steve Mones, Dave Urban, Jon Prine, Doug Sevon, Janet Porter, Mark Frank, Mary Frank, Roger Broome, Dan Barker, Zac Barker, Julie Keim, Bob Gross, Glen Piper, Roger Hartley, Matt Prine, Doug White.  ....to be continued.

The final results will be entered and added to www.scoutorienteering.com over the next couple days and the Score Results will be tabulated over the next couple evenings.  Troop trophies should go in the mail in about a week.

Well done Ed Scott.  You are a shining example for our club.  I am always amazed that an event with over 600 participants can appear to run so smoothly.

    Amen!

I ran into a number of scout leaders, both new and old to MASOC, who were simply delighted about how well the entire event was organized -- and how much fun it was.

    Great job everyone!!!!!!!

Results are tabulated and should be on the Scoutorienteering.com site shortly.  I'll put up a news story with a link. The BSA Troop winners are from Gibraltar, Plymouth Meeting, and Williamsport PA.  The GSUSA winning troops are from Beaver PA and Emmaus PA and the Cub Scout winning pack is from Beaver PA. Those trophies will be mailed within a couple days.
