Ride from Philly on Sunday to Springton Manor Farm

Topic created by hughmac4 on Wed Apr 13, 2011 at 4:15 pmHello DVOAers:
I've been slowly acting on my vow to get more people at Penn into orienteering.
I met a Penn international student who would like to come to the meet on Sunday, and bring a friend. He does not have a car, and lives in the city. I would give him a ride from Swarthmore (he would take the train out there and meet me), but of course it's the one meet this year that I am helping with setup, and need to go too early and not be responsible for others on that day.
He's from China, and was quite involved in orienteering there, and has been excited to get involved locally, now that his studies are going smoothly.
Please shoot me an e-mail or reply here if you can give him and a friend a ride to the meet on Sunday from Philly! Also let me know if you have questions.
Thanks, Hugh4
P.S. -- go to http://www.upenn.edu/ and search for orienteering to find out more about him! :) -

Reply by browne on Thu Apr 14, 2011 at 5:05 pmCount me in for a ride on Sunday. Is it possible to take an R8 (CH West) train to Tulpehocken Station? I'll look up the schedule and post that later if that works.

Reply by hughmac4 on Fri Apr 15, 2011 at 9:43 amJust shot you a note Jim. Thanks a lot! I believe he can take that train, but will let you work out the details with him, as I'm not sure exactly where he lives, etc. Let me know if you have any problems getting in touch with him.
Thanks again, this is great.
