Beautiful February Day at Warwick

The long Green course was superb with lots of thought and careful navigation required on virtually every leg. Thanks Mary and the entire crew.

This was my 3rd event, did orange at Mt Penn, orange at NFP and today I jumped up to the green. Made some great finds on some controls and only blew one. (Rookie mistake) The course surely kept you thinking, I'm learning as I go and having a blast doing it.
I will say you guys are quite crafty at hiding the controls. One would think an orange/white flag would stand out. It's amazing how close you can be and still not see it, gotta laugh about that.
My wife joined me today and did yellow for her first event.
We both had a great time today, chasing controls.
Thanks to all for the hospitality. I guess I'm in for good, got my own e-punch thingy today.
See ya at Gretna.

After attending quite a few events, you tend to learn some of the course designer/ setter's style. It's nice having variety out there not being done by same course setters every week. It encourages us to think, rather than just run from one point to the next, and have loads of fun doing it.
I'm looking forward to getting back into Orienteering, now that my life is gradually getting more stabilized after a pretty rough year. Hopefully, I will see you all at Gov. Dick next weekend.
