Camp Horseshoe Thank Yous

Topic created by Gillettejw on Tue Dec 9, 2014 at 9:38 amThe second to last event of 2014 is behind us now!!! Though we didn't have a full up event at Camp Horseshoe, it was successful nonetheless. I would like to thank the hardy team of volunteers who helped to make Sunday a success for four Scout Troops and four goups of individual runners. Thanks to Wayne Vincent and his Scouter colleague who braved the rain on Saturday and helped me set the courses. Thanks to my Event crew on the day of the event: Andy Green who checked the courses, filled in where needed, and picked up most of the controls (and reported on wayward groups late int he day); Ralph Churchill who handled start all day and ensured that our Scout Groups stepped off on the right foot; and Dave Morgan who held down Registration all day. A big Thank You also to Ralph Tolbert who saved the day by dusting off two old courses and taking care of map printing and assembly. In all a successfull day. Hoping that our next outing at Horseshoe can be a full-up event in warmer weather. Happy Holidays to all and see you in the New Year!!!!!>> John
