When we first arrived at Rutgers, it looked crowded with kids, but the HVO folks processed the groups in record time. I had a great time on my first brown in ages, and Bob squeezed a good course in a difficult park. He was not kidding about the rootstocks. Thank you to all.

Hi Kathy, Thanls for the coursecomplement. To All who attended, thanks for the obvious good manners as I observed Both HVO and DVOA members helping with CrownControl, you all kno whom you are, Thank you. It is refreshing to note that in Th e Spirit of the Ringo.s, when help is needed at an O meet, the best step forward to help

Background, We Knew we had a croud coming as 3 High Schools, (Colts Neck, Linden and TBD ) asked us many questions about this O meet, along with at lease 5 Scout units, one as far away as Oackland NJ (50 minutes away.  Special; thanks to Mark Frank whom bought 50 or more DVOA-  e punches as our HVO 40 or 45 were exaused early.   I realy enjoyed the Crowds but it strained or small crew of meet workers until a few More steped uo whom had not panned too.

Luckiest recovery.  The last persons (member of the public on Red course PAIR on a group) They lost there e punch rental stick I retrieved a O far # 145,and As I turned I glimbs a Bit of shiny Yellow, an e=stick in the leaves. I do not know the stastics, but it seems one in 10000chance, as I wasnot aware of the missing stick alert.

Natures wonder at 8 am while settting out O flags onthe sewer and steam Line ROW, I heard a Eagle "scream" near by.  I look up, nothing, I take 3 more steps and Out flyes a adult Snow white Full size Eagle, that s no Raven! it Flew away to the nearby River screaming all the way  Beautiful, and I took it as a good Omen.
This turn out was partly groups seeing the HVO.DVOA schedule, others seeing the flyers I postedy at Nearby satellite ifficiece with other groups takin advantge of the mild 54 degreed weather.it is  hartening that people tun out, Over200 Showed up for a map adventure but Ii do not know the official attendanceAs WorfwouldSay:  It will be Glorious!!!  This was a roaring success of a O meet   SYITF

    Dave Urban, what say you?

Thanks for the great weather and close(er) venue.
Will the results also be put up on DVOA and in Route Gadget? I'm interested to see how far off the map I ran.
