Course setters needed for this fall
-
Topic created by edscott on Mon Sep 15, 2014 at 5:42 pmWe have 7 events on our schedule between now and the end of the year that still don't have a course setter. These spots need to be filled or these events, which represent about half of our fall schedule, will have to be cancelled. If you don't feel that you can do it on your own, we can match you up with someone with more experience that might not be able to volunteer to do the entire event, but with your help could get it done.
*October 4th Schuylkill Valley Nature Center. All that is needed is a White Yellow & Orange. Good opportunity for a first time course setter.*October 12th at French Creek. Bob Gross is the event Director and a course setter or at least an assistant course setter is needed.*October 26 at Green Lane. ..using the Northern part of the map.*November 2 at Fair Hill / Big Elk Chapel*November 9 at Brandywine Creek*November 16 Camp Delmont We need both a Course setter and an Event Dirctor*December 7 Camp Horseshoe -

Reply by LarryG on Sat Sep 20, 2014 at 4:21 pmSo, with only 2 weeks to go, it's looking bad for SCEE on Oct 4th. But we figure that we could at least have the beginners program using an old White course. How would we go about recycling an old White course, and are there maps already available, or would more need to be printed?

Reply by edscott on Sat Sep 20, 2014 at 7:55 pmMary F or Sandy F would be the most likely people to have a stack of leftover maps. Another possibility would be to just hang punches on the permanent course controls and use those brochures instead of printing maps.
