Volunteers - We need some! Take a look at the volunteer list on the schedule and see what you can do to help your club.
Picnic - In case you haven't read the home page posting, we're going to try an experiment in club togetherness. I've bought some additional food and picnic supplies (paper plates, etc.) and I'm hoping you'll do three things:
- Bring some chairs, food, drinks, whatever you'd normally take to a picnic with friends;
- Chip in a buck or so (or whatever you can) to help cover the extra cost (and show that it's worth it to you to occasionally go beyond the usual event snacks and activities); and
- Stick around and have fun.
Parking - We're going to try to fit everyone in at the rustic group camping area that we've reserved for our event center. It is limited, so car pool if you can and be thrifty with the parking space. If we have to, we'll divert latecomers to the usual Scott's Run Lake area parking (parking away from the dam end as far as possible)
Course-setter notes - will be coming out shortly (Sam is at the same time preparing to leave Sunday for college). There are some differences in the maps because of where/when they were printed. We'll provide samples to study at registration.
See you there!
Fred

Reply by CNYO-South on Sat Aug 21, 2010 at 7:54 pmFrom the intersection of PA Route 23 and PA Route 345, follow the signs directing you to take PA Route 345 North to French Creek. At the intersection of PA Route 345 and Harmonyville Road, turn left onto Harmonyville Road. At its western end, turn right onto Park Road, pass the park office, and turn left toward Scotts Run Lake. Follow O' signs to the event site.
