World Orienteering Championships (WOC)

    The 2010 World Orienteering Championships are going on right now in Trondheim, Norway.  Matt Scott, son of Ed Scott, competed in the Long Distance Qualifier this morning.  Although not quite good enough to make it through to the final, Matt had an excellent run.  Congratulations!

    There is a lot of discussion going on at www.attackpoint.org and an excellent picture of Matt finishing.

    That is a great action shot of Matt.  Eddie and Wil Smith are getting great photos of this event.  I had a group of  engineers watching the on-line tracking of the Long event over our lunch hour.  Our US team is doing great!

    Matt will be running the second leg of the men's relay team on Sunday.

    For the men:  Ross Smith, Matt Scott, Eric Bone
    For the women: Samantha Saeger, Alison Crocker, Sandra Zurcher
