Membership Database Phase Two

Topic created by kent on Fri Jul 30, 2010 at 2:02 pmI'm getting close to implementing Phase Two for the web-based membership database so wanted to give everyone a heads up on the progress.
Phase One concerned the eboard. That change was made a couple of months ago and is working well. There has been zero spam on the eboard (Yea!), and only one spam registration. There has been an occasional glitch in the delivery of the emails containing the temporary password. Many thanks to all those who have already created your account!
Phase Two is primarily aimed at event directors and course setters. There will be new admin page for event directors and course setters. This page will permit EDs/CSs to submit their own articles for the home page, configure the volunteer page for their event, enter their course details, specify exact locations for the Google map directions page, and file the event report once the event is over. The event report will be expanded so that the problems and suggestions area will be visible to future EDs/CSs on the same map. If an ED/CS is not comfortable writing articles for the home page, there will be assistance available. In order to get Phase Two up and running, I need all event directors and course setters to register for an account.
Also in Phase Two the officers page will be moved to the database, so if your name appears on the officers page, and you haven't already done so, please create your account.
If you're already signed up so that you can post to the eboard, then you're all set – no need for you to do anything at the moment. If you haven't created your account yet, please do so – it will help make the transition to a web-based membership database much easier.
