Washington Crossing Routegadget

Topic created by jeremycolgan on Sun Apr 8, 2012 at 1:36 pmIt seems like the routegadget is defaulting to the president's cup event in January instead of yesterday's map. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Reply by edscott on Sun Apr 8, 2012 at 1:54 pmI don't think yesterday's route gadget file is uploaded yet. Check here later this evening or maybe tomorrow AM. http://www.dvoa.org/gadget/index.php.

Reply by DSevon on Sun Apr 8, 2012 at 9:11 pmOK, RouteGadget is now loaded for Washington Crossing, http://www.dvoa.org/cgi/gadget/reitti.cgi?act=map&id=189&kieli=.
Folks may have noticed when the results are first loaded that two plain text files contain the results. At that time, the system automatically generates some links that aren't correct. After the plain text files are converted into the nicely formated results page, then all the links work properly.

Reply by jeremycolgan on Wed Apr 11, 2012 at 7:17 amThanks for that. So here is where I admit my ignorance (or did I do that already?). I have exported a KML file from my suunto ambit watch (new) and I hit GPS select KLM and try to upload but all I get is a blank screen. What else do I need to do please?

Reply by Steve on Wed Apr 11, 2012 at 5:17 pmIf you download in GPX, then the route gadget will load your track directly to the map. If you download as a TCX then you will have to make the adjustments with the blue dots. Of course both of those options are with the garmin. Anyway, when you open rG you should click on the gps in the upper right, and then click on select format. One of those options should match up to the choices your watches download has.

Reply by jeremycolgan on Wed Apr 11, 2012 at 11:38 pmClearly I am an idiot because nothing is working. THe only file format I can export as is KML. When I try to upload this blank screen. When I try online conversion to GPX I get nada... Please can you help my technologically challenged brain? It occurred to me that it may have something to do with the watch being so new?
Thanks,

You can convert TO KML so I would imagine maybe you can convert FROM it?
KML appears to be a Google Earth file type. -
