I contacted my local newspaper about advertising the Hawk Mtn event. They said, "Definately want the article with details of the event. A brief summary of what Orienteering is would also be welcome."

I pretty much suck at writing, so if anyone is interested in writing something short and sweet about the sport and DVOA it'd be much appreciated. I'll make sure you get credit.

    Thanks, Mike

I've read your accounts of learning how to orienteer. If you suck at writing then I must sound like a first grader.

Thanks Steve, you're being too kind.

That was writing about my experience though, I was looking for something describing the sport and the club. Since I'm fairly new and still learning I didn't want to mis-represent the club or the sport.

Thanks Kathy, but my computer wouldn't open the file, if you could resend it in an e-mail that would be great.

    Thanks, Mike

Just wanted to let you all know, the story made the front page! That sounds impressive, but it's a small paper, but still pretty cool.

I'll bring it along to the event to show it off Cool
