Fresh streamers were recently hung at the 24 control sites used in the Score-O held last July at the Gould Run section of Hickory Run State Park.  If you have a map from that event you can design a course of your liking or redo the Score-O.  Left over maps will be available at the winter meeting for those who did not attend last summer's event.

Because this is a do it yourself training with no one keeping track of of who is in the woods, it is reccommended that people carpool together to the area and carry a cell phone, as reception is ok on most of the map.  Parking is at the small lot on the west side of Pa. Route 534 about 1 mile north of the park office and about 4 miles south of exit 274 of I-80.  The map is bounded by the Lehigh River, Hickory Run and Route 534, and the safety bearing of east will take you to Route 534.  Because weather conditions in the Pocono area can be quite different from the Philadelphia area, a check of a weather forcast should be made before going up this winter.

Any chance of getting one of the left over maps at Sunday's event.  I just found out I can't make the winter meeting, but I'm trying to put together a training event with a few folks in the next few weeks and the score-o map would be great.
