This is going to be a long one because of all the help I had with my first event...

First, a shout out to Mark Frank and Ron Barron...Mark for tons of advice in all areas of orienteering; Ron for letting me shadow him at Springton Manor.
Thank you Sam Kolins and Wyatt Riley for setting up EventReg, and for making several changes in order to make the pre-registration process the best it could be.  Thank you especially for your patience with all the questions I sent your way.
Thank you, Lena, for setting out all the Sunday morning controls in record time, helping at Registration, and posting results to the website and Attackpoint.  Thank you, Sam Kolins, for your ninja-like skills in all things electronic; I hope to be a worthy student.  Thank you both for encouraging me throughout these last few weeks.
Many thanks to Mary Frank, Jerry Smith and Bob Rycharski for providing thorough instruction to so many scouts, cadets, families, and individuals.
Thank you, John Gillette, for overseeing download, manning the computer and providing much needed guidance to scout troop leaders.
Good organization is so vital at Start.  Pat and Bob Burton do so much more at Start than the position requires.  Thank you for ensuring that participants get on their way safely and with an added bit of knowledge for a better experience.
Control pick-up and kit pack-up was super-fast with the team of Lena, Mary, Jerry, Sam, John Gillette, Bob Burg, Bob Rycharski, Pat and Bob Burton, Grace Suhocki, and Joey Schandall.
Thank you, Bob Burg, not only for the great courses and detailed maps, but also for the countless hours you spent clearing trails of downed trees from recent storms so that this event could happen.
Thank you, Paige Suhocki, for helping assign, double check, and bag over 100 rental e-punches.
Thank you to mom who I could not have done this without.  Thank you for answering emails and for making phone calls when I was in school.
Mary Frank, thank you for overseeing check-in nearly all day.  Thank you for all your guidance, encouragement, for answering MANY questions, and for frequently reminding me to get back to my

hi Ava, as the first course setter at quail hill camp in a long, long ... ago era called 1999ish  or maybe a little later  (believe in the "O" force!) , i and the ancient mariner theo zaharia created the first beta topo map of quail hill at charlie messina's camp director (BSA DUDE) at the times, request.  i estimate there have been 6 or 7 revisions or updates to that map as all maps and trails change a bit  and get outdated (thanks dvoa and bob burg in particular.  theo and i envisioned this maps potential  [ and it warms my memories to see it still (over 200 starts sunday...) a popular orienteering venue]), and i am SO glad a new next gen event director, i.e Ava, took up the leadership position, its a great, hard, but fulfilling one if you get the hang of the difficulty of managing your volunteers, which from my point of casual dvoa observer, Ava Suhoki, ya done  GOOD!!!  see you in the Next forest   syitf  hoo-ah
