HIBERNIA - Volunteers Needed / Early Notes

Topic created by steveo on Mon Sep 28, 2020 at 6:07 amWe are in need of volunteers to to help with our event at Hibernia Park.The following is a list of key roles to be filled:Saturday October 3, 2020- 0930 - Hang controls under the direction of our course setter Nate Ohrwaschel. We will meet at Pavillion 4. This should take about two (2) hours.Sunday October 4 0930 to 1:00 pm look ing for two or three people to work at registration /dowlnload and one or two people to work start as this role is very critical during the new COVID-19 safety rules. Help on control pickup is always appreciated.A voluteer sign in page has already been createdCourse Schedule:First out will be offered at 0930 am for anyone who has underlying health issues or our senior members. The remainder of the attendees can flow in after 10:00 am.Last start wil be at 1:00 pm. Control pickup will start at 2:30 pm and our goal is to out of the park on or before 4:00.Due to the COVID-19 safety polices no snacks or beverages will be provided. Runners are encouraged to bring thier own drinks and snacks. Please try to utilize all of the parking areas to keep your distance from other partipants while getting ready to run or to change into fresh clothes at the end of the day.The bathroom at Pavillion 4 will be available to our participantsWeather for next weekend looks great.

Reply by steveo on Fri Oct 2, 2020 at 11:27 amScott Thatcher just reminded me that it is archery season for deer hunting. We should be fine on Sunday, but for those volunteers helping with control hanging on Saturday wear high vis or orange vests. I will have some with me from work to lend out.

Reply by steveo on Sat Oct 3, 2020 at 1:18 pmLast minute course notes - There has been significant logging of the grounds behind the Fiddler Stage Area. Some trails in that area may not appear exactly as they are on the map. To say the woods are open would be an understatement.
