DVOA has now received OUSA sanctioning approval.
On Saturday morning November 4th, there will be a Sprint at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation. Course setter, Sam Kolins. After this Sprint, competitors will drive 23 miles to Penn State Berks, Reading. On Saturday afternoon, there will be a Sprint on the Campus. Course setter Nate Ohrwaschel.There are plans for the University to provide food at lunch time, and also the Saturday evening dinner.
On Sunday November 5th, there will be a Long event at Mt. Penn. Course setter Erik Eddy. This will again involve parking at Penn State, with busing to the Start and from the Finish.
Besides our course setters, the main event staff are Bob Fink Registrar, Eric Weyman OUSA Course Consultant, Valerie Meyer Results, Rob Wilkison Vetting, Tim Walsh Start.
On Saturday, there will be an “Intro to Orienteering” course at Gring’s Mill promoted by Berks County Parks and Recreation, followed by a White course. On Sunday, White and Yellow recreational courses will be available.
The event hotel will be the Days Inn at Reading, 5 minutes from Penn State.
