Tomorrow

Topic created by ErikEddy on Sat Feb 11, 2017 at 8:06 pmWeather looks pretty bad tomorrow, considering postponing until March 5. Daniel Boone is tough enough without 35 degrees and rain. Thoughts?

Reply by Len on Sun Feb 12, 2017 at 12:12 pmAs I would be driving from the north through at least some freezing rain, I decided to skip it but now I see I still get a change to go :). Glad I didnt drive there without looking at the website.

Reply by wriley on Sun Feb 12, 2017 at 12:27 pmWow this is awfully late to cancel. Via eBoard only, while Main web page shows the event still on. People are showing up...

Reply by edscott on Tue Feb 14, 2017 at 9:38 pmMonday I picked up the flags that had already been hung. Three were missing. One was well out of sight from any trail and in rather nasty woods. Lucky it was a pin punch event so not an expensive loss, but wondering why anyone would take them and how they found the well hidden one. My theory is they were following Eric and took them soon after they were hung.

Reply by edscott on Wed Feb 15, 2017 at 4:42 pmYes that is possible if they were taken early Sunday. There wasn't much left here by Sunday afternoon.

Reply by ErikEddy on Wed Feb 15, 2017 at 7:07 pmThis will be my last time postponing an event with this short of notice- it is too difficult to get the word out to everyone and it is disrespectively to those who made plans. The weather came out to be a little more benign than predicted but I honestly thought 10 people at most would show up and they would come back not so happy. Not something I would do for a full White-Blue e-punch event in the main season. I thought the weather prediction might soften by Saturday night but it didn't until Sunday morning.Anyways, mea culpa.See you March 5th!
