Map Brainstorming Session for Annual Meeting?
-
Topic created by bobburg on Sun Jan 15, 2017 at 5:01 pmDo we have a schedule of afternoon programs for next Saturday?I strongly suggest a brainstorming session on mapping plans and possibilities right before dinner so that as many interested members as possible can attend. I think it is that important.

Reply by ErikEddy on Sat Jan 21, 2017 at 10:45 pmDefinately covered alot of topics tonight. I will be help leading the mapping committee for 2017 so we can accomplish some tangible goals."Committe":Fred Kruesi, Ed Scott, Bob Burg, Steve Aronson, Wyatt Riley??, (Vadim helping on Logistics)
Let me know if you are interested and I will be in contact with the members shortly about setting up some meetings (probably phone+some at same location) where we can set our goals and get some of the projects done we've been discussing throughout the years. Some things that came up:1. Map printing and dealing with standard paper sizes on maps that were traditionally covering a larger area2. Assessing and recording current state of maps with help from recent course setters3. Decided where to use professional mapper resources for updates or new maps4. Training for club mappers in the field and/or OCAD for quick updates ( I think I have a good area for this)5. Setting up a website to keep things organized6. Other stuff
