Due to a last-minute complication (which arose just today), we have needed to switch this Saturday’s NJ Championships to (ironically) Pennsylvania’s Tyler State Park in Newtown PA. The orienteering technique for doing this is called “Relocation.”
Tyler is the closest venue to WashCrsg among DVOA’s maps, Tyler’s facility and security staffs are very cooperative (took about 2 hours to get approval for this change), parking is more than ample, and we invite you all to change your GPS coordinates and join us in our new digs. Check out the following link to see how Tyler is only 15-20 minutes away:
We are contacting all the scout and ROTC leaders tonight to announce the change.Mary Frank and Bob Burg will be designing the courses in the next 2 days and our event will be up and running for starts to begin by 10am.
Course stats will be posted ASAP.
Just an example of how Orienteering is the "Thinking Sport". Making course corrections on the fly.
See you in the woods this Saturday with big smiles and welcomes for all.

Reply by Bruce on Mon Oct 24, 2016 at 8:13 pmHello All,Thank you everyone for a great day of Orienteering at Tyler State Park. I brought 13 NJROTC cadets from Buffalo NY and we appreciate all of the hard work you did to create such a wonderful experience for all involved. Our long trip meant that we had to leave as soon as we completed our courses, without knowing final results. Please, how may we find out the results of the NJROTC competition? My students have been waiting since Saturday AM, and I know they will be extra anxious when I see them Tuesday morning. Please advise and thank you!Bruce
