My biggest worry as an event director is knowing that I will have help running the event.  It's scarey when no one signs up to help.  I just posted the volunteer positions, please consider lending a hand to run the event.  I have times listed for the positions, they are not rigid, if you can't stay the entire shift, let me know I will recruit someone else to take over.  I won't be upset if you find your own replacement.  Also, if you see that I need help, just jump in and lend a hand or stop by and ask if I need anything.

I do have a few special needs for this event:

Parking is limited.  We almost ran out of parking the other year.  I have two volunteer positions in the morning to park cars.  I'll need those to be filled.

I have the event listed on a hiking meetup group and currently have 3 people signed up.  Consider volunteering to give instruction to a beginner group at 11am.  Here's the link to the webpage, you can see how many people are signed up.  https://www.meetup.com/Berks-Lehigh-Hiking-and-Backpacking/events/234426215/

Erik Eddy (course setter) can not stay until the end of the event.  If Erik has not already found someone to help organize the control pick-up, I'll need some one to help with that.

I've put a request in for good weather.  Come out and run one of Erik's courses.

    Thanks,
    Diane

One more thing... Bob Burg cannot attend and will need some help getting some equipment close to his home in Lindenwold, NJ  for the Washington Crossing event (about 10 miles south east of Philadelphia).  Contact Bob Burg & Ron Bortz if you can assist.

Yes- I will need some help with control pickup coordination-shouldn't be too bad-I will have to leave at about noon on the day of the event-only 40 controls to pick up in a relatively small area.

Come enjoy one last round at Antietam Lake Park before the National Event next year!

Dave will help on control pickup, I'll run first and then do epunch, and stay late to pack up equipment and report results. While I can't go to Washington Crossing because I'll be in California, I am available to drive equipment around until Oct 18. KathyU
