I have signed up for the Rogaine on Sunday but will not be able to compete for the full 6 hours.  I would like to participate for about 3 hours and use it as a training exercise.  How closely spaced will the controls be?  I can typically run an Orange course in about 1 hour to 1 hour 20 min.  Unfortunatly, I will not be able to keep up that pace for the full 3 hours!  Will the controls be spaced so that I can hit multiple controls within a 3 hour time limit or are they spaced so far apart that I will only be able to find 2 or 3 controls?  I am completely new to Rogaines and any suggestions would be very appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Kathy

    Hi -
The spacing between controls is quite variable, with many close together and others off on their own.  There are a good number relatively close to the start/finish, and, assuming your navigation is reasonably good, you should have no problem designing a loop for yourself that gets to 5-10 orange level controls in 3 hours at a brisk walking pace.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you, Sandy!  That was exactly the information I needed.
