After volunteering to repair the course at Locust Lake, I dscovered that 2/3 of it was missing. I have decided to rebuild the course from scratch, so  that it will last longer. If anyone is available mid week, and would be willing to dig holes in very stony soil, please contact me for my work schedule. I am currently waiting for the results of the PA1_call so I can begin digging. No experience is needed, but your own post hole digger would help.

I walked this course exactly a year ago.  Pretty much everything was missing, and the course was just following the footpath around the pretty little lake.  The path is now paved.  This is a very attractive campground setting.  We wandered around the lake and then went to Jim Thorpe, a great place for being a tourist on a sunny day or riding the bike trail.  Maybe you could make the course a little more interesting?  Anyway, the drive up there and over to Jim Thorpe is really pretty countryside.

I have permission to dig now, but no one has stepped up.  I will be doing the work in the next two weeks, so if you have the time, I could use the help.

Be flexible with your locations.  Don't make the map until the posts are in.  I hit loads of rock just driving in the steel posts that were the original control points.  Finding spots for a 4x4 post will be challenging.
