I thought the event was a SCORE MEET with the usual varying points per control and a penalty for going overtime. Add up a runner's points, deduct any penalty and viola! What in the world are the results telling us - that points don't matter, "courses" are arbitrary and the shortest time out there (regardless of score) "wins". I realize that this does not really matter in rankings, that the event gets an A+ for effort, weather, concept, attendance, technical stuff and all the really important things. Thank you Ralph & Nancy for that - sincerely. But it seems to me to be more difficult to have produced this results-confusion than it would have been to simply follow the plan as outlined at the meet. What's up with that?

Unfortunately none was available to help with setups and decision was made to run event as it is and sort out results later. I hope to receive some inside details on which course means what ... Meanwhile enjoy false April fool's day.

Until you posted I had no idea he got us by so much!W.r.t. scoring, there were some 10, 7, 5, and the white course 1 point controls, and a 60 minute limit. I don't think the actual course assignments mean anything more than the default that people usually run. I imagine some old-school hand tabulation of results by the course setter, using the split Vadim posted, could help. I think that would work in most cases, but mine, where my epunch got full... (I have an older chip w/32 control limit - others that swept the course (or nearly did) seem ok.)And there was one control not beeping/blinking - I hope that got reported to equipment master Bortz for repair/replacement?
