There will be "little green" in the woods for our annual St. Patrick's Day event at Hibernia.  Visibilty as of this last weekend is optimal.

White Course 2.0 km 10 controls 60m climb
Yellow Course  2.8 km   9 controls 70m climb
Orange Course  4.7 km 11 controls 105m climb
Brown Course 4.1 km 11 controls 125m climb
    Green Course 4.8 k m 11 controls 125m climb
Red Course 7.0 km "13" controls 220m climb

You should not need the "Luck of the Irish" to find the controls!

If you been thinking of moving from Yellow to Orange or
from Orange to Brown/Green this is a park to give it a try.

Hope to see you all there to open the regular event season of 2016
with a large turnout!  Those that miss the event will be green with....

Excellent!  Always a great season opener...looks like we won't have to worry about any snow this year.

Can we toss these details up on the schedule page?

All parking areas are now open with no snow cover.  The park trails are ( as expeced in late Winter) saturated with water so I suggest all runners bring a dry set of shoes and socks to go home in. I plan to check the park again this Sunday (3/6/16) and update everyone on conditions.

Blow the dust of those old orienteering shoes, shake-up the compass, find that epunch, grab your gators if you got them and get out to Hibernia this Sunday between 10am and 1pm.  Fred has done a great job a usual behind the scenes to print the courses on the maps.  Rob (on Spring break) and Mary have been working to get the control descriptions on the maps and the maps packed for the event in case of rain(??!!)  Nate (on Spring break) will be helping me get the controls and water stops into the woods on Saturday.  Steve is organizing and can still use help. Weather... although a chance of rain will see temperatures above 60 degrees (not bad for March 13th!).  We have a pavilion reserved across from Fiddler's field and there are brand new "heated" bathrooms (running water and flush toilets -a very nice addition!) within seconds of the parking/registration/start and finish.   Courses although not highly technical will allow everyone to get ready for the seaon ahead.  Again the woods don't get much better at Hibernia so hope to see a large turnout for the first regular kick-off event of 2016!   Mark
