Thank you to Diane and Sam for a great day of orienteering at Nolde. The weather, the organization and course-setting were all great, and showed imagination and attention to detail.

Great course! The forking was really thought out well where you had choices of climb/length/difficulty. Hope to see it again.

Sam's choice of having forked controls was an excellent way to engage the brain in route choice without having to dive too deeply into thick summer vegetation.

I'll also mention I thought having the Long course be "two loops" (Loop 1 being the short course) worked out really nice for several reasons:

1. Provided a great opportunity to stash an extra gel, and be able to drink some gatorade at the halfway point so I didn't need to carry water.

2. An overambitious long courser could quit after one loop and still "complete a course".

3. More people at mass start, and more people to compare routes with after the course was done.
