Thanks to everyone who helped with the event at Tyler State Park/Bucks County Community College.  The weather was perfect and so much better compared to the heavy rains and flooded Neshaminy Creek which resulted in the cancellation of this event in March.  We had an extra twist to the day as one of the controls was stolen first thing in the morning, but we got through that hassle.

Specific thanks to the following folks:  the entire Ahlswede family (Karl, Sandy, Ben, and Greg) for course setting, hanging controls, registration, epunch computer, and control pickup; Ron Cook (registration); Eugene Frolenko and Kelsey Weber (registration, start); Jim Puzo (start); Vadim and Greg Balter (hanging controls and control pickup); Dave Cramer (control pickup); Mark Frank (instruction); and my wife Mary (epunch computer).

Doug, I think you did a fantastic job directing the event. Thanks for volunteering your time and energy. Thanks to Mary too for running the e-punch in the morning.

Doug, Karl and your team of volunteers. Thanks for a great day. It was a lot of fun - I liked the options in the middle of the course.

    What John said!

The box was fun, and the building work at the end was particularly mentally challenging after a hard run.  Excellent!

If you ran both (which I did not), should the sprint and a 'color' course both count for ranking?

While the scores shown on the results page do seem to indicate that Sprints are in the overall rankings, they are not. We've always had White to Blue course rankings. The scores shown will be used to calculate Sprint course rankings.

Who did the weather? what a great day!

I was just looking at the splits. Several runners on Green did the last flag from the box after #12. Can I assume that was the stolen flag, and they were reinstated if they knew it was missing?

Steve, your assumption is correct about the runners with the missing #33.  This also impacted a couple of folks on the Red course.  Once the missing control was reported, we got a replacement back out on the course as soon as we could, but obviously a handful of runners had passed through that part of the course prior to the replacement.  Many of the runners who were impacted by the missing control commented to me about the control, and I'm assuming that the others commented about it when they downloaded.
