OK, I'll admit it - I've been looking at these stats for years, and trying to figure them out.  PCD (Personal Course Difficulty) and CGV (Course Gnarliness Value).  Does a high score indicate greater level of difficulty, or lower? For example, the most recent French Creek North Brown course had a CGV of 3996.27.  Does that mean it is more, or less "gnarly" than the most recent Hay Creek Brown, which had a GGV of 4292.49?  I'm thinking that a high PCD means you had more trouble with the course than the average bear, since all my PCDs are higher than the CGVs. Thanks for explaining this to me...

Looking at the detailed explanation under Rankings > Calculations, it looks like we now use course field strength instead of PCD and CGV's.  But PCD is the ranking result of that person, multiplied by their finish time in minutes.  So, the larger the value, the lower your score would be.  Course difficulty is the average of the PCD's, so again, higher values are more gnarly, but would increase your score.  Maybe these old values are still calculated, but supposedly not used since 2012.  If you want to see the current formula, take a look under Calculations.
