Thank you to all the helpers who made Ft. Washington so much fun, and were so helpful to the many beginners who came out!
Dave Urban, course setter and ED, Kathy Urban (me), assistant ED, Bob and Carol Fink, who ran the courses several times to review, Bob Rycharski who hung controls on Saturday, Diane Reider and John Gillette who ran the epunch.  Bridget Chadwick at registration, Kathy Geist and Bob Burton were great instructors, Dave Morgan and Roger Hartley at start, Ken Miraski, Ann Fitch, Larry Geist and Dave Morgan picked up controls, and Mary Frank, as kind and helpful as always at registration and equipment management.  Hope we haven't missed anyone.  The park ranger was just wonderful, stopping by frequently and giving us a basket of Grape-nuts cereal samples.

I enjoyed the Brown course.  Shows good use of a small area and kept us out of the green areas to the SW of the event center.  Shows we can have fun without using an expensive map.

Ha, Ed, it was the Green runners who were in the green areas to the SW of the start! :-)  But, by being VERY careful to find the indistinct paths, I managed not to bleed.  It was indeed a fun course.  Due to the age of the map, there were new man-made features, and some removed man-made features.  My mistakes, however, were all due to relying too much on my so-called knowledge of my local park!  Thank you, Dave & Kathy, for directing a really nice event.

RouteGadget is up! New, georeferenced, (fairly) hi-res map.
