Mason-Dixon Registration
-
Topic created by Sandy on Sat Mar 29, 2014 at 1:38 pmAlthough registration doesn't close until April 14th, note that late fees will apply after April 7th. So if you were thinking about coming, be sure to register soon in order to take advantage of the lowest prices.
Mac is busy scheming about how to put together relay teams; be sure to let him know if you want him to put you on a team. We can enter teams in any division with anybody - if the team doesn't meet the point criteria it doesn't matter, it just won't be eligible for awards. So don't let anything stand in your way, just tell Mac which course you want to run and he'll get you placed on a team. -
Reply by GraemeB on Sun Mar 30, 2014 at 3:06 pmHiI'm new to Philly (and the US) and would love to come along and run both days. I don't have a car though so is anyone going from near Center City that can offer a lift? Do people stay overnight? I haven't entered yet. Thanks, Graeme

Reply by Sandy on Sun Mar 30, 2014 at 9:08 pmHi Graeme -
Welcome to Philadelphia!
Many people will spend the night down near the events - especially those from out of the area. As far as locals, I'd guess those club members that live south of Philadelphia might drive home each evening but those from further away might stay down there.
I'd offer a ride, but my car will be full so not sure I'll have room. I'll have all the registration materials and possibly sound equipment and other stuff. Hopefully someone will answer this post, but if not, as the event gets closer, post again.
Another resource is Attackpoint. If you post something there you might find someone flying into Philadelphia looking for someone to share the cost of a rental car and hotel. You could take the train to the airport to meet them.

Reply by LarryG on Tue Apr 1, 2014 at 9:54 pmKathleen and I would like to be placed on a team, or add a 3rd person (who doesn't expect to win any awards). But who is Mac and how do we let him know? We have 8 points to offer.

Reply by Sandy on Tue Apr 1, 2014 at 11:01 pmHere is a link to a flyer about DVOA relay teams. Mac is Hugh MacMullan III and his email is at the bottom of the last page of the flyer. He will be happy to put you on team(s) if you let him know.

Reply by Sandy on Tue Apr 1, 2014 at 11:42 pmYes, but we are trying to send map counts to the printer this week so we'd really appreciate it if people signed up sooner than the last minute.

Sorry to bother you but I tried that link to Hugh for the relay teams and it won't allow me to click on it to send him a email. Is there any other way to do this. We have a team for fun of Denny, Donna
Terefenko and myself.

Reply by Sandy on Tue Apr 8, 2014 at 1:21 pmHi Janet -
If you already have a relay team, there is no need to contact Mac (Hugh MacMullan III). Please just fill out the relay form and send it to me. You can put the information in an email to me instead of useing the form, but please be sure to include all the information that is asked for so I can fill out the form myself for you.
Mac's email listed at the end of the flyer is working fine. So for anyone who would like him to put them on a relay team, please contact him: mtw@macmullan.org
If you have your own team already, please send me the form. We will greatly appreciate being able to enter the information into the computer ahead of time.
Sandy
